Baun Studio is a Copenhagen-based brand started in 2020
The beginning
The founder Alberte Muffs interest for fashion started around 11 years old when she received her grandma's fashion scraps that she used to make clothes for her dolls.
The passion grew as she got older, and her interest in sustainability started when she began to shop in the local charity store and upcycled their inexpensive clothes to try to keep up with all the smart girls at her school. This was actually where Baun Studio began. With a small Instagram account called "Muffes thrift shop" that within just 2 weeks, I gained 500 followers, and now, 5 years later, are still going strong.
The middle part
First and foremost, Baun Studio is a personal reflection of Albertes life. Most of the inspiration is drawn from where she grew up and some of the struggles she faced trying to find clothes that fit her body type. "I am tall, have big thighs, and a smaller waist". There's nothing worse than wearing clothes that are too tight and restrict movement.
We have tried to create a brand that focuses on body positivity through sizing and design, as well as responsibility throughout the entire design process. We acknowledge that this is not an easy task, and I don't always make the right choices, but we will keep trying.
Baun Studio wants to bring the party into your everyday life and helps you shine! We create clothes that you can wear on the dancefloor as well as the couch by using soft and stretchy materials with original and colorfull prints.
The last part
A lot has happend since the beginning and today we are a small team of three girls with a dream to change the industry. In 2025 Nikoline Wiegandt joined the owner team, Albertes bestfriend since forever, and is now head of design. Sophia Sparsø is the first employee in Baun Studio and makes sure that our marketing is always on top and turns a big smile on everyone at the office.

Nikoline became a part of Baun Studio in 2021 and later became one of the owners in 2024. She handles all the designwork
